LCSC Membership Information

Lincoln Center Skate Club (LCSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of figure skating in Columbus, Indiana and surrounding areas.  LCSC aims to encourage an environment of good sportsmanship while striving to provide training opportunities to meet the needs of all levels of skaters.

LCSC is a member club of U.S. Figure Skating (USFS). 

All members of LCSC will become members of USFS.

LCSC offers various levels of membership as outlined below.  Applicants for any class of membership must submit a completed membership application, including all supporting documents, along with the appropriate fees to LCSC.  Applications will be processed by the club.  Shortly thereafter, USFS will issue a membership card with a membership number to each member.  Please keep this card as the membership number is required for competition and test applications and for access to your personal skating record on the U.S. Figure Skating website.

LCSC Membership Levels

  • Gold memberships are available to skaters who have successfully completed Parks & Rec Novice. 

  • Gold memberships include:

    • Unlimited weekly free skate sessions,

    • 1 weekly Group Power class

    • 1 weekly Off-Ice Conditioning class

    • Gold members will have the opportunity to participate in one LCSC small group program or solo routine during the annual Ice Show. (Soloists are determined by test level.) If participating in group Power classes, members will also have the opportunity to participate in one large group program during the annual Ice Show.

    • May represent LCSC at US Figure Skating sanctioned competitions and events

    • Lower fees at LCSC test sessions than out-of-club members

    • Receive invitations to LCSC social events, etc.

    • Receive LCSC email communications

    • Subscription to SKATING Magazine - one copy per household

    • Basic insurance coverage through U.S. Figure Skating

    • Awarded U.S. Figure Skating test badges through LCSC (LCSC purchases and awards badges)

    • Entitled to voting rights. If under the age of 18, member shall be represented by a parent/legal guardian

  • ​Silver memberships are available to skaters who have successfully completed Parks & Rec Novice.

  • Silver memberships include:

    • ​3 weekly free skate sessions are included at the Silver Membership Level. Members will have the option to pay an additional fee to participate in weekly Group Power sessions.

    • Silver members will have the opportunity to participate in one small group program or solo routine during the annual Ice Show. (Soloists are determined by test level.) If participating in group Power classes, members will also have the opportunity to participate in one large group program during the annual Ice Show.

    • May represent LCSC at US Figure Skating sanctioned competitions and events

    • Lower fees at LCSC test sessions than out-of-club members

    • Receive invitations to LCSC social events, etc.

    • Receive LCSC email communications

    • Subscription to SKATING Magazine - one copy per household

    • Basic insurance coverage through U.S. Figure Skating

    • Awarded U.S. Figure Skating test badges through LCSC (LCSC purchases and awards badges)

  • These membership options are available to skaters who meet the following criteria:

    • (1) have passed Basic 4 in the Parks & Rec Learn To Skate program,

    • (2) are a minimum of 5 years of age, and

    • (3) who remain in the Parks & Rec program, including Novice.

      • A skater will be allowed to remain at the Junior member level:

        • (1) as long as they remain in the Parks & Rec program and

        • (2) for a maximum of 2 years.

    • Junior members may move to other club levels mid-season after successfully completed Parks & Rec Novice.

    • Once skaters have progressed beyond the Junior Club level, they will not be permitted to return to the Junior membership.

    • Junior members will have the opportunity to participate in one Junior group program during the annual Ice Show and to skate with a Parks and Recreation Group of the appropriate level.

    • Annual Junior Membership dues include the cost of each Parks and Recreation Session through the season. Junior members will sign up for the appropriate session/level and Parks and Recreation will bill LCSC directly.

    • May represent LCSC at US Figure Skating sanctioned competitions and events

    • Lower fees at LCSC test sessions than out-of-club members

    • Receive invitations to LCSC social events, etc.

    • Receive LCSC email communications

    • Subscription to SKATING Magazine - one copy per household

    • Basic insurance coverage through U.S. Figure Skating

    • Awarded U.S. Figure Skating test badges through LCSC (LCSC purchases and awards badges)

    • Entitled to voting rights. If under the age of 18, member shall be represented by a parent/legal guardian

  • Junior-1 is intended for those skater’s first starting out and want to get an experience of what club and figure skating are as a sport.
    • ​1 weekly free skate session is included at the Junior-1 Membership Level. 

    • Includes a 30 Minute Coach Lead Skating Skills Class on
      Small Ice on Monday’s;

    • Cost of Membership includes the cost for four Parks and Recreation Classes through the Season

    • Junior-1 members will have 1 weekly off-ice conditioning class

  • Junior-2 is intended for those skater’s that have chosen to become more serious with the sport but have not yet passed Novice class. Skater’s cannot stay in any combination of Junior club for more than 2 years. 
    • 2 weekly free skate sessions are included at the Junior-2 Membership Level. ​

    • Includes a 30 Minute Coach Lead Skating Skills Class on Small Ice on Monday’s;

    • Cost of Membership includes the cost for four Parks and Recreation Classes through the Season

    • Junior-2 members will have 1 weekly off-ice conditioning class

  • This membership is available to adults ages 18 and above and can be included in a Family membership.

    • Adult Membership includes:

      • 2 weekly free skate sessions is included at the Adult Membership Level.

      • These skaters may participate in the annual ice show as part of a Parks-and-Recreation group number, which has an additional Parks-and-Recreation class and costume fee.  

      • Adults Members will have the option to pay an additional fee to participate in weekly Group Power sessions for 2/3 of the season.

      • Adults members are not eligible to participate in the large group power program during the annual Ice Show.

  • This membership option does not include any on-ice sessions.

  • Associate members have walk-on ice privileges and can purchase a freestyle session for $10 during the times designated on the LCSC skating schedule.

  • Payments should be made weekly into the LCSC payment box located inside the skate rental area.

  • These skaters may participate in the annual ice show as part of a Parks-and-Recreation group number, which has an additional Parks-and-Recreation class and costume fee.

  • Associate members have a $125 fundraising commitment or an annual 8-hour volunteer commitment.

  • May represent LCSC at US Figure Skating sanctioned competitions and events

  • Lower fees at LCSC test sessions than out-of-club members

  • Receive invitations to LCSC social events, etc.

  • Receive LCSC email communications

  • Subscription to SKATING Magazine - one copy per household

  • Basic insurance coverage through U.S. Figure Skating

  • Awarded U.S. Figure Skating test badges through LCSC (LCSC purchases and awards badges)
